Thanks for visiting us at trinity-fellowship.org. The purpose of our church is summarized in a single sentence based on two key scriptures:
“Trinity Fellowship is a community that exalts Jesus, equips the Believer, and evangelizes the World.”
The Great Commandment: “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matt. 22:36-40
The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matt. 28:19-20
We exist to celebrate God’s presence! This is the number one priority of our church because it is the number one priority for our lives. We weren't made or created to have great jobs or careers or grow beautiful gardens or to have fabulous hobbies. We were made to have a relationship with God.
Psalm 122:1 David says, "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go unto the house of the Lord." Not sad or mad but I was glad. One of the distinctions of TFC is people love to be here. They celebrate. It's fun. We have a philosophy that it should be a celebration time when you come to the house of the Lord. It should not be like a funeral process. It should be fun. And we will always have celebratory services.
We exist to communicate God’s Word! The definition of evangelism is "sharing the good news". Ephesians 3:10 "His (God's) intent was that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known." In other words, the purpose of the church is to talk about God and the incredible things He has done. That is our purpose.
We are committed to sharing His Word because God loves people and its His will that the church grows. Colossians 2:19 "Under Christ's control the whole body is nourished and it grows as God wants it to grow." It is very clear, very straightforward God says He wants His church to grow. Matthew 16:18 Jesus says, "I will build My church."
We exist to educate God's people. This is called discipleship. Discipleship means helping believers grow spiritually. Hebrews 6:1 says, "Let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity."
Finally, we exist to demonstrate God's love. A definition of ministry is meeting needs with love. The reality is, everybody hurts. John 13:35 - "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples that you have love for one another."
The heartbeat of TFC is our LIFE (small groups in people’s homes) groups. This is the place where you can get involved and develop relationships with people who will know you and care about you. 1 Corinthians 12:4-5,27 - "Now God gives us many kinds of special abilities. There are different kinds of service to God or ministry. All of you together form the one body of Christ and each of you is a separate and necessary part of it."
Come and check out TFC this Sunday. Our first service begins at 9:30am and our second service starts at 11:00am. I believe that you will find a growing church that is passionate about touching the heart of God and the people of this community.
